Our Process
Every biological process that occurs in your body generates a unique and novel odor in the form of volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) that are emitted when we breathe. As humans, we can’t smell these VOC’s, but to K9’s it’s like the difference between smelling chocolate and pizza. Each VOC has a clear and distinct odor the K9’s can easily identify once trained to do so.
Using our patent pending odor identification technology we’re able to isolate specific odors and train our K9’s to detect them. Once we’ve identified the odors we want to train our K9’s on, we use our patent pending automatic training system to quickly and efficiently train our K9’s on each individual odor.
Our goal is to allow our K9’s to screen people using the least invasive methods possible and this is why we’ve chosen to train our dogs to detect VOCs in a person’s breath.
